Natarajan Ramanathan has a background in General / P & C Insurance and Information Technology in Insurance Space spanning over  30+ years. 

In the General Insurance field, his work has covered Business Development, Banca Channel Development with SBI, Underwriting, Claims Administration and Training.  In the Banca Channel, he developed a robust engagement with Banca partners – SBI in both Indore zone and Guwahati zone of the Banking Sector Leaders, State Bank of India.

In the Insurance Space in information technology, he has worked and gained expertise in Business Analysis, Product Development and Enhancement, Quality Assurance processes and practices, Program and Project Management and  workflow mapping.  His expertise has been utilised in Global Insurance companies such Alfa, Unitrin, Norwich Union, Zurich. 

He has also worked with Karvy Consultants Ltd. to set up and develop Karvy Consultants Ltd’s Insurance Distribution Network.

During the course of his career in Insurance industry,  he has worked extensively with Corporate Accounts such as Alembic Chemical Works Ltd., Alembic Glass Ltd., and other sister concerns of Alembic Group.  The other companies with who he has worked are Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd., Baroda, FAG Precision Bearings Ltd., A German Multinational, Panasonic Energy, Baroda (then Lakhanpal National Ltd.,), Bhandari Foils Ltd.,  Ruchi Soya Ltd.,

He has been offering his Insurance Risk portfolio management services wherein he reviews the Insurance portfolio of companies and provides custom and optimized insurance solutions. 

He has dealt extensively in Fire Insurance, Marine Insurance, Engineering Insurance, Marine and Storage Erection Insurance, Liability Insurance, Overseas Travel Insurance, Trade Credit Insurance and Health Insurance. 

Now, he has set up his own venture to assist Individuals and Companies in taking appropriate Insurance policies that optimize both premium and cover.

When time permits, he devotes time on Quora to answer questions related to Insurance, Project Management, Quality Assurance.

Natarajan is also a hiker/trekker and an avid birder. He regularly participates in birding activities.  He is also a photography enthusiast.
